Join AMPLIFY. Perform in HOME!

Southpaw Company is inviting people from across Sunderland to take part in HOME — a large-scale performance opening Culture House in 2026.

We’re looking for local people to join AMPLIFY, Southpaw’s community performance programme, and become part of a bold, immersive production featuring live performance, digital visuals, and powerful storytelling.

You don’t need to be a professional performer.

You do need curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to be part of something special.

What is HOME?

HOME is a city-wide celebration — performed on and inside Culture House.

It brings together movement, music, projection, and digital technology to tell a story about Sunderland: who we are, where we’ve come from, and what we might become.

Up to 100 local participants will perform alongside Southpaw’s professional dancers — live on the building, in its windows, and within immersive digital scenes.

What is AMPLIFY?

AMPLIFY is Southpaw’s free community performance programme.

By joining AMPLIFY, you’ll:

• Take part in weekly creative sessions

• Work with professional choreographers and digital artists

• Help shape the story of HOME

• Perform as part of the opening of Culture House

• Be invited to future Southpaw projects and opportunities

Who can take part?

We’re looking for people aged 16+ from Sunderland and the surrounding area.

You might be:

• New to performance

• Returning after time away

• From dance, sport, music, or no creative background at all

All bodies, identities, and experiences are welcome.
