Southpaw Dance Company, one of the UKʼs leading dance and digital arts innovators, is excited to announce the launch of AMPLIFY, a new community performance company based in Sunderland. AMPLIFY blends live performance with cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) technology, offering participants a unique opportunity to be part of the cityʼs growing cultural landscape.

Recruitment is now open for up to 80 participants from across Sunderland, with the first session set to begin at Southpawʼs new studio at Sheepfolds, Sunderland. Whether youʼre an experienced performer or completely new to the world of dance and theatre, AMPLIFY invites people of all backgrounds and abilities to join and help shape the future of community performance in Sunderland.

Participants will not only be trained in dance and performance but will also have the chance to work with AR technology, exploring how the fusion of live and digital art can tell powerful, community-driven stories.
