ACTION SPEAKS - JOIN THE MOVEMENT -

Southpaw Company is inviting people from across Sunderland to take part in HOME — a large-scale performance opening Culture House in September 2026.

We’re looking for local people to join the cast, Southpaw’s community performance programme, and become part of a bold, immersive production featuring live performance, digital visuals, and powerful storytelling.

You don’t need to be a professional performer. All abilities welcome.

You do need curiosity, commitment, and a willingness to be part of something special!

AMPLIFY is our Community Performance Company, organised at the request of our community casts from previous productions. AMPLIFY is a friendly, informal group, which meets weekly to have fun and explore dance.

Located in the heart of Sunderland’s Sheepfolds district, Southpaw Studio is a fully-equipped creative space designed to host performances, rehearsals, and community activities.

The 180m² studio offers open-plan space, changing rooms, and a mezzanine for additional work areas. Exciting plans include adding Digital capacity to the studios to create a centre for movement and digital storytelling, with Motion Capture, Projection Mapping, Aerial, and VR solutions.

About Southpaw Studio
