OUR ETHOS

Our mission is simple: to create performances that celebrate communities, spark joy, and bring people together. We believe dance should be fun, uplifting, and empowering, and we’re passionate about crafting work that reflects the voices and stories of the people we collaborate with.

By working side by side with local communities, we create a safe, inclusive, and vibrant space where performers and audiences alike feel connected, inspired, and part of something bigger. Whether on stage or in the crowd, we want everyone to leave with a sense of belonging, excitement, and the pure joy of movement.

STUDIO GUIDE

Thanks for joining a Southpaw class! To help you feel comfortable and enjoy your first session, here are a few tips:

  • Arrive a little early – this gives you time to sign in and get settled before class begins.

  • Use a locker for your belongings – our changing room lockers are perfect for keeping your things safe. Feel free to bring your own pad lock if you wish.

  • Keep phones tucked away – place them in your bag or at the side of the studio to stay fully present in the session.

  • Water is welcome – feel free to leave a bottle at the side of the studio to stay hydrated.

  • Care providers are welcome – if you’re accompanying someone, you’re invited to join us in the space.

  • Parents and guardians – you’re welcome to drop off your child, explore the Sheepfolds site, and return to pick them up after class.

  • Be mindful of others – kindness and awareness make the studio a happy space for everyone.

We can’t wait to see you in class!
