We Are Giants is a large-scale outdoor performance that brings professional artists and community dancers together in a bold celebration of collective strength.

Performed in Sunderland’s Keel Square, the work transforms a familiar public space through athletic choreography, striking imagery and the energy of a mass cast. Individual voices become a shared movement - confident, visible and impossible to ignore.

At its heart, We Are Giants is about what happens when people come together and claim their place. It celebrates the courage of every performer, the power held within a community and the extraordinary things ordinary people can create together.

Built through collaboration, We Are Giants gives local and emerging performers the opportunity to work alongside Southpaw’s professional company and take centre stage in their own city.
