Movement meets the digital world

KHOREO is a dance film created by Southpaw Company for Culture House Sunderland’s pre-opening programme.

Blending powerful live performance with cutting-edge digital art, the film brings Southpaw’s professional dancers together with AMPLIFY, our community performance company based in Sunderland. Bodies, images and technology collide, transforming movement into a vivid celebration of creativity, connection and collective energy.

Created with and for the city, KHOREO reflects Southpaw’s belief that innovation is most powerful when everyone has the opportunity to take part. It captures professional and community performers haring the same space, the same ambition and the same sense of possibility.

The film was first presented on the Expo Sunderland Pavilion screen in Keel Square, placing the people and creative energy of Sunderland at the heart of the city. Commissioned for Culture House Sunderland, KHOREO celebrates the significant milestone in Sunderland’s cultural landscape.
