Rush is a celebration of cultural expression and identity, of local lives and daily struggles, with community at its heart.

Told through the lens of five local characters, Rush examines the daily frustrations that move us to effect change, offering dance, music, and the power of vibrant, cultural protest as a voice to express those struggles; a voice firmly rooted in the cultural identity of Leicester. Delivered in partnership with ArtReach as part of Journeys Festival, Rush is a a large-scale, mass participation spectacle with community at the very core.

Originally commissioned by The Cultural Spring in South Tyneside, RUSH has since been staged in Hull, Blackpool, and now Leicester, each time drawing on the place to tell the stories that matter to local residents.
